How does Talkmind treat Addiction?
There is no one route or ‘generic treatment’ when it comes to addiction. Proven treatments, like the drugs methadone and buprenorphine, which can be effective in treating opioid addiction, or acamprosate and naltrexone can be suitable for treating alcohol addiction. There are different treatments available for gambling or shopping addiction(s).
There are also a number of therapy-based treatments which can help with all addiction disorders. These include:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Group or Family Therapy
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
Addiction is fairly common and we believe that no one should feel they are facing it alone or that they are being judged. We are here to help.
